Mortal Kombat 11 has been officially the best selling Mortal Kombat game by selling over 12 million units globally, contributing to over 73 million console units in the total franchise video game.

Warner Bros. revealed the news in a press statement in which it claimed that 138 million installations had been recorded globally by Mortal Kombat Mobile.

“I never dreamt that Mortal Kombat would grow to the franchise. when It introduced over 30 years ago that it is sold now with over 73 million games,” said Ed Boon, NetherRealm Studios’ creative director and co-creator of the Mortal Kombat group. “We have some of the world’s most exciting fans, and we value their support throughout the years.

This news follows NetherRealm’s declaration that it is now turning to its next project and ‘that the game’s DLC, including characters, has come to an end after more than two years of support for Mortal Kombat 11.’

Mortal Kombat 11 was the best-selling game in this franchise by handing over 11 million units sold globally to Mortal Kombat X, as stated during an interview with Game Informer.

Mortal Kombat Satisfies a Wider Audience

You might perhaps call this idea “accessibility.” Still, it is a little different than it is essential to understand the remarkable staying power of the Mortal Kombat franchise after all these years. “Accessibility” can assist gamers to get into the door and make their first impressions. What counts here is how people feel when they start playing, and Mortal Kombat is pulling ahead of some other remarkable combat game series.

See whether you play with the slightest difficulty setting and allow fatalities of the one-button, or you choose to masters all combo and characters. Mortal Kombat’s really about making over-the-top moves with over-the-top characters while experiencing an over-the-top story, you predicted. This is the soul of Mortal Kombat, and it is the primary reason why you would always have to play one of those games.

No matter how good you are at the game, you can enjoy the ‘core’ Mortal Kombat experience. More experienced players can enjoy a more sophisticated type of experience, although the core attraction of this franchise does not require a specific degree of dedication. Ironically enough, this is often the inspiration for a larger audience to spend more time with it.

Mortal Kombat’s Story, Characters, and World Distinguish it from Other Fighting Games.

That Mortal Kombat has more fantastic characters, narrative and world-building than Street Fighter or Guilty Gear or Tekken are redundant. As you can see, it’s a personal choice.

It’s simpler to argue that the Mortal Kombat team has decided to stress such components more than other fighting games. This kind of experience reached an audience that would not have otherwise paid attention to a fighting game.

As far as highlighting those personality-based features, Mortal Kombat developers from multiple companies have remained with what got the brand going. With the recent decision to make Mortal Kombat’s campaigns into a cinematic world, more people are interested in the franchise’s future. No one accomplishes such “cinematic” features better than the Mortal Kombat franchise.

Mortal Kombat Reinvents Itself Often

Let’s face it. The Mortal Kombat series is far from flawless. I believe you’ll discover that other fighting game brands are better in terms of instalments. Over the years, there have undoubtedly been Mortal Kombat videogames that their rivals have completely outsold.

Despite this, Mortal Kombat’s success is all the more astounding. With the release of the surprise (and successful) Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance, the Mortal Kombat team opted to dramatically shift their design philosophy after Mortal Kombat 4 made people wonder if the series’ novelty had worn off. By the time Mortal Kombat: Armageddon was published, that strategy was still commercially viable, but in response to accusations that things were starting to get boring, NetherRealm Studios boldly opted to blow everything up again with 2011’s fantastic Mortal Kombat remake.

Few other gaming franchises have been dedicated to keeping things new over the years, even when “more of the same” would have sufficed for many. Many aspects have contributed to Mortal Kombat’s great success throughout the years, but let’s not forget that the games themselves are fantastic.
