Next year, Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 3. will bring the eclectic team of cosmic heroes back to the big screen. After Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, the movie will be the next film in Marvel’s Phase 5.
On December 1, the final trailer for the trilogy was released, and it’s certainly an emotional journey. The first Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 3 trailer has been revealed at the ongoing Brazil Comic Con.
Director James Gunn has been working on this trilogy since 2014, and it will conclude the trilogy. There have been two epic blockbusters so far as the first two parts are concerned. It was revealed in the trailer of Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 3 that the plot of the film is set after the events of Thor: Love and Thunder.

As the mind and pen behind the franchise, James Gunn will return behind the camera. One of Marvel’s best Phase 4 projects, The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special, was released by the filmmaker recently. In 2014, Gunn brought the Guardians characters to the forefront with the original Guardians of the Galaxy film, and then in 2017, he returned with a well-received sequel. Gunn has joined DC following his work on the third entry of the Marvel franchise, though Gunn may find himself coming back to Marvel in the future if he should find himself with some free time in the future.
As part of the upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy franchise, the third installment is set to be released in theaters on May 5, 2023.
